 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. A MAN ENTERED ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH YESTERDAY WITH A GUN,WHERE THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA WORSHIP.

           The Ghanaian Government in a statement today said that the Ghanaian authorities yesterday sunday arrested a 36 year old man who carried a weapon into a church where President John Dramani Mahama and his family worship.The unidentified man was arrested after his fidgety and suspicious behavior was noticed during the morning service at an Assemblies of God church in Accra.According to a statement signed by Communications Minister Edward Omane Boamah said  ''He was escorted out by security personnel and following a search,the weapon was found''.The statement did not provide other details about the suspect or the weapon that was allegedly found but further said the president and his family were not in the church at the time of the incident.
