 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. A MAN ENTERED ASSEMBLIES OF GOD CHURCH YESTERDAY WITH A GUN,WHERE THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA WORSHIP.

           The Ghanaian Government in a statement today said that the Ghanaian authorities yesterday sunday arrested a 36 year old man who carried a weapon into a church where President John Dramani Mahama and his family worship.The unidentified man was arrested after his fidgety and suspicious behavior was noticed during the morning service at an Assemblies of God church in Accra.According to a statement signed by Communications Minister Edward Omane Boamah said  ''He was escorted out by security personnel and following a search,the weapon was found''.The statement did not provide other details about the suspect or the weapon that was allegedly found but further said the president and his family were not in the church at the time of the incident.
