 Carrick favourite for Man Utd caretaker role Michael Carrick has emerged as favourite to be appointed Manchester United caretaker head coach, according to sources close to the process. Club chiefs are hoping to have an appointment in place for when players return to training on Wednesday. While a final decision is yet to be reached, talks are said to have progressed with the 44-year-old over the position. Carrick previously had a three-game stint as United's temporary boss following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021. He won two and drew one of those matches but left after Ralf Rangnick's arrival as interim manager. Solskjaer held face-to-face discussions with the club on Saturday about a return. United sacked Ruben Amorim as manager after 14 months in the job on 5 January. A MAN WAS FOUND DEAD,IN HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS DEMI MOORE'S SWIMMING POOL YESTERDAY.

            Yesterday saturday night,a man was found dead in the 52 year old Hollywood actress Demi Moore's pool.Law enforcement said the 21 year old man apparently drowned in the pool and his body was discovered early today sunday morning.While Demi Moore is currently out of town,a neighbour told the press that ''Dem's kids have been staying at the house for weeks and have been throwing parties everyday,day and night''.Other sources said the man was invited by an assistant to the birthday celebration,and the man could not swim after he slipped and fell into the pool.Though there use of alcohol used to be limited but sources further claimed that Demi and her children did not throw the birthday party.The police is still investigating what really happened and how come the man died in the pool.More photos below.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
