LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. According to BBC,Kenya Alshabab top Commander and mastermind of the Garissa University attack Dulyadin Gamadheere has allegedly been killed in a US Drone attack in Juungal between Bardhere and Buur Hajje Somalia.Gamadheere had a Sh20M bounty on his head.Though reports of his death are yet to be confirmed.The man was the alleged mastermind of the terror attack on Garissa University in Kenya that has left at least 15 people dead and alot of people injured.The BBC reports states that two senior commanders from the Islamist militant group were today killed in a drone strike in south west Somalia.Several loud blasts were heard in the town of Bardere at dawn and the bodies were later found.reports by AFP said that Missiles were fired from an unidentified military aircraft striking al-shabab targets in southern Somalia early today thurday causing casualties.
