 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. BOKO HARAM SUNDAY ATTACK ON CAMEROON,LEFT 23 PEOPLE DEAD.

               According to the residents of the affected areas,said yesterday monday that suspected Boko Haram militants have killed more than 20 people including multiple children in their latest attack on northern Cameroon.They took the few soldiers posted at the targeted village by surprise.According to Pastor Edward Ngosu a Nigerian missionary who has been based in the village for four years said ''More than 80 assailants stormed the village of Kamouna,located near Lake Chad in the northern part of Cameroon that lies between Nigerian and Chad,on sunday night.Only seven soldiers were present at the time,and they were quickly overwhelmed.They began shooting in the air to scare the attackers,but were unsuccessful and 23 people were killed''.Residents had asked the military for more protection last week after suspected Boko Haram fighters conducted a raid near the village and stole livestock.Communications Minister Issa Tchiroma Bakary said yesterday monday that he had no information on the attack.
