 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. BOKO HARAM ATTACKS MAIDUGURI,STATE CAPITAL OF BORNO STATE YESTERDAY.

       According to sources,suspected Boko Haram Insurgents attacked the outsirts of the state capital of Borno state Nigeria on friday,escalating their attacks these week in which more 150 people have been confirmed in these week attack.Hearvy gunfire was heard coming from the fringes of Maiduguri,the capital of Borno state,for about half an hour yesterday friday evening.A military source said the insurgents attacked a village on the edge of the city but they were repulsed.Before friday's attack on Maiduguri,gunmen killed nearly 50 people in a village on tuesday,rounded up and shot dead about 100 in Kukawa on wednesday and killed 12 in a dawn raid on another village on friday.Two suicide bombers killed at least 10 people along a highway on thursday.I am yet to receive casualty report of yesterday's attack.
