 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. FEMI GBAJABIAMILA,EMERGED AS THE MAJORITY LEADER OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

                                            According to sources,Femi Gbajabiamila has emerged as the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives after he settled his dispute with the Speaker of the House of Representatives,Yakubu Dogara.The duo along with other members of the All Progressives Congress met with President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday monday to settle the lingering dispute in the Green Chambers.Shortly after the meeting Dogara stated that members of the party in the Green Chamber would proffer a lasting solution to the crises that has torn the party apart.According to him,he will continue to obey and abide by the party's position and decisions on matters concerning the National Assembly.He said ''I will always be by the party.There has never been a time that i never stood firmly by the party.So,like my chairman has explained,we are going to do it in consultation with the party and i'm sure that sooner than later we will have good news for Nigerians''.Femi Gbajabiamila,a member of the House of Representatives who also participated in the meeting,expressed optimism that the dispute would be resolved by today tuesday.He described the meeting as fruitful as all contending groups in the House of Representatives came together for the first time in a cordial atmosphere.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
