 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. REUTERS/Clarendon County Fire Department/Handout via Reuters              According to the police,a fire that destroyed a Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church in Greeleyville,South Carolina,on tuesday was from natural causes and not linked to a spate of fires at similar churches across the South.The U.S Department of Justice is investigating the fires and has so far determined that one was an electrical fire and two others were from natural causes.The fires were being investigated against the backdrop of the June 17 shooting of nine black church goers at a historic black church in Charleston,South Carolina.The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said in a statement on thursday that the Greeleyville church fire probe as completed and ''Investigators observed no indicator of criminal intent.Based upon the scene examination,the fire debris analysis,witness statements and a lighting strike report,the cause of the fire was best classified as natural''.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
