 Chris Brown Avoids Jail After London Nightclub Attack, Gets 8-Month Suspended Sentence Chris Brown will not be going to prison for now after a London court sentenced him over a nightclub attack that left music producer Abraham Diaw injured. The American singer, 37, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on Monday, October 26, receiving eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months. His co-defendant, rapper HoodyBaby, whose real name is Omololu Akinlolu, 40, received a four-month suspended sentence, also for 12 months. Both were ordered to pay £1,500 in costs. The case dates back to February 19, 2023 at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where Brown admitted attacking Diaw with a tequila bottle. CCTV footage showed the producer being struck twice on the head, hit on the shoulder, chased, pushed to the floor and kicked while down.               In a recent article in the Washington Post,President Muhammadu Buhari explains why he has not appointed his cabinet more than three months after sworn into office as the President.In the article,he said he needed time to root out corruption before naming his ministers.''Nigeria must first put new rules of conduct and good governance in place.When cabinet ministers are appointed in September,it will be some moths after i took the oath of office.It would have been neither prudent nor serve the interests of sound governments sooner.People in positions of power under previous administrations had been able to plunder state coffers with impunity.The fact that i now seek Obama's assistance in locating and returning $150 billion in funds stolen in the past decade and held in foreign bank accounts on behalf of former,corrupt officials is testament to how badly Nigeria has been run''.
