Rosatom Discussing Nuclear Projects With Niger & Ethiopia "Rosatom is open to discussing possible forms of cooperation and is prepared to offer modern, reliable, and safe technologies," the Russian state corporation stated, Sputnik reported. Cooperation between the parties is currently focused on establishing working mechanisms and defining project parameters, with decisions being taken gradually in line with the host country’s priorities and international safety standards, Rosatom said. Rosatom is in dialogue with more than 20 African countries on such areas as the construction of large and small nuclear power plants, nuclear science and technology centers, and the development of uranium deposits.
The incident happened on friday at about 7:am in Lemode area of Ogun state.The baby Zainab Olajide who was 41 days old has been poisoned by her own father identified as Kazeem Olajide,in attempt to divorce his wife.According to sources,the mother Abosede Ogundare,had left Zainab with Kazeem to sweep the compound only to come back and met the baby with foams gushing out from her mouth.It was learnt that Ogundare alerted neighbours to the incident having found a bottle containing pesticide with her husband.The baby Zainab was said to have been rushed to a hospital in the community,where she eventually died.The suspect,who hails from Abeokuta,Ogun state,attempted to flee,but was held by residents,while the landlord of the house reported the case to the monarch of the community,Oba Solomon Sokunbi.It was gathered that the father was handed over to the policemen at the Agbado Police Division after he confessed to the crime before the monarch.A resident,who identified himself only as Biodun,said Kazeem had been threatening to divorce his wife before the baby's untimely death.
