 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. RWANDA PRESIDENT PAUL KAGAME,TO RUN FOR THIRD TERM AFTER BEING SUPPORTED BY LAWMAKERS TODAY.

                       Today tuesday,Rwanda lawmakers backed a motion to let President Paul Kagame,to run fora third term in office,paving the way fora referendum to amen the constitution.Rwanda's President whose ruling party has controlled the country for the last decade,has not directly said he wants to run again.But he has said he is open to persuasion that the two term limit in the constitution needed to be changed,and a petition to that effect has collected 3.8 million signatures.Members of parliament voted unanimously to back the petition,said Speaker Donatille  Mukabalisa,adding that a referendum would be called on whether to amend the constitution.''We've started the process to the referendum.We should't delay the process''.Sppouters of the petition saidKagame was the right person to lead their country.The petitioners hail president Kagame for having stopped the genocide and bringing quick economic recovery.
