 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. RWANDA PRESIDENT PAUL KAGAME,TO RUN FOR THIRD TERM AFTER BEING SUPPORTED BY LAWMAKERS TODAY.

                       Today tuesday,Rwanda lawmakers backed a motion to let President Paul Kagame,to run fora third term in office,paving the way fora referendum to amen the constitution.Rwanda's President whose ruling party has controlled the country for the last decade,has not directly said he wants to run again.But he has said he is open to persuasion that the two term limit in the constitution needed to be changed,and a petition to that effect has collected 3.8 million signatures.Members of parliament voted unanimously to back the petition,said Speaker Donatille  Mukabalisa,adding that a referendum would be called on whether to amend the constitution.''We've started the process to the referendum.We should't delay the process''.Sppouters of the petition saidKagame was the right person to lead their country.The petitioners hail president Kagame for having stopped the genocide and bringing quick economic recovery.
