 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. SOMALIA PRESIDENT,CONDEMNS YESTERDAY BOMBING AND WARNS AL-SHABAAB MILITANTS.

                    Today monday,President of Somalia gave a defiant warning to al-Shabaab insurgents a day after they killed at least 13 people in a bomb attack on a hotel that houses several diplomatic missions.The White House strongly condemned yesterday bombing calling it ''abhorrent Attack''.Somalia government security officer Ahmed Ali said ''The devastation was huge,and so far 13 people,all of them innocent civilians,have been confirmed dead.Some of the wounded died last night,while other bodies were covered under the wreckaged of nearby building''.The Jazeera Palace hotel is home to the diplomatic missions of China,Qatar and the United Arab Emirates,and is popular among Somali government officials and foreign visitors.Beijing said on monday one of its embassy staff was killed and three others slightly wounded.AU troops helped rescue survivors,including Kenya's ambassador to Somalia.
