PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS AMBASSADOR ENIKANOLAIYE ON HIS BIRTHDAY President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, on his birthday. A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Information and Strategy, indicates that the President describes Ambassador Enikanolaiye as a distinguished diplomat, accomplished administrator and dedicated public servant whose career reflects professionalism, patriotism and a deep commitment to Nigeria. Ambassador Enikanolaiye served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 1982 to August 2017, rising through the ranks to become Permanent Secretary. He later served as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations before he was appointed Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. According to sources,two passengers were confirmed dead,while one other person sustained severe injuries,when two trains collided yesterday sunday in Agege,Lagos state.Mr Akin Osinowo,Lagos Railway District Manager {RDM},confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria {NANA},today monday.Osinowo called on the families of the deceased to come and collect the corpses at the Federal Medical Centre {FMC},Ebute Meta,with relevant information.Osinowo said that the two casualties were passengers who illegally hanged on the rooftop of the moving train.The injured passenger was currently receiving treatment at an hospital.The district manager said that the Managing Director of the NRC,Mr Adeseyi Sijuwade,has instituted a panel of inquiry to find out the immediate and remote causes of the incident.
