 Anambra monarch links Nawfia killings to non-appeasement of the departed soul of the former traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Francis Nwankwo (Osuofia I).   A traditional ruler, Igwe Nwankwo Osuofia II, has linked the killing of 20 individuals in Nawfia community in Njikoka Local Council of Anambra State to the non-appeasement of the departed soul of the former traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Francis Nwankwo (Osuofia I). Popularly called FFBC Nwankwo and Africa’s Tallest Man, the late Igwe Nwankwo was a prominent figure in the Peoples Club of Nigeria, an exclusive socio-business class of the bourgeois in Igboland. He was assassinated on February 15, 2000 and succeeded by his son, Chijioke Nwankwo, 25 years ago. 4 ROBBERY SUSPECTS,ARRESTED & TAKEN TO THE POLICE STATION BY RESIDENTS OF AYOBO IN IPAJA.

                  According to sources,a brave residents of Ayobo in Ipaja area of Lagos state,have arrested four suspects who allegedly came in the night to rob the residents.The incident happened at Ashapa area of Ayobo in Ipaja.The residents also recovered arms such as guns,cutlasses,knives,charms and other weapons from the robbers.The suspects allegedly invaded the area with their arms to rob the residents at about 3.00 am on sunday.The residents resisted and pursued them into a bush in the area.They mobilized other residents who surrounded the bush and combed it,and eventually arrested four of the suspects,while one of them escaped.They handed over the four suspects and the weapons they recovered from them,were given to the police in Ipaja division who transferred the suspects to the Commissioner of Police at the Command's Headquarters in Ikeja.The commissioner of police,Mr Fatai Owoseni,who saw the suspects and some of the residents at the State Command commended the residents for their efforts in policing their community.Some of the residents who spoke to pressmen confirmed that robbers have been terrorizing them and they had to mobilise themselves to ward off the robbery attacks.It was while some groups were on guard at night that the suspects came and they raised the alarm which attracted other residents and it led to the arrest of the suspects.
