 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. 6 DEAD,OVER 30 WOUNDED AS A 14 YEAR OLD DETONATED A BOMB IN DAMATURU MOTOR PARK TODAY.

                        Early today tuesday morning,a suicide female bomber,detonated an explosive device strapped to her body in Damaturu ,killing five people and injured about 30 people.The Nigeria Police spokesperson Toyin Gbadegesin said ''At about 7:40am,a female suicide bomber about 14 year old detonated an explosive device at the central Damaturu motor park.Six people were killed including the suicide bomber''.An official at the state emergency management agency Idi Musa Jigawa,said the suicide bomber tried to enter the motor park,or bus station,and was accosted by civilian vigilantes.She then pulled away and set off the bomb.six people were critically wounded and another 22 had minor injuries.No one claimed the bomb attack but all fingers are being pointed to the Islamist group Boko Haram.One more photo below.
