 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. A 65 YEAR OLD MAN DELE,WAS FOUND DEAD IN A WELL YESTERDAY IN KWARA STATE.

                Yesterday saturday,the body of a 65 year old man Mr Dele Ogundeyi,was recovered from a well on the Aperan way in Omu-Aran Kwara state.Dele Ogundeyi was a retired Secretary of Offa Local Government Area Liaison Office,before his death.Dele who hails from Ile-Nla compound in Omu-Aran went missing around 11 am on saturday,according to a relation Mr Abdulkareem,prompting a search party by family members.He said the search party later traced the late Mr Dele to a site along Aperan Way where his lifeless body was found inside the well around 4pm,that same day.The well was located infront of an uncompleted building and a farm land belonging to the deceased.The deceased body had since been removed from the well by family members and deposited at the Adeyemo hospital mortuary in the town.He said the family was still in shock over the death of the deceased whom he described as the bread winner of the family and a caring easy going man.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
