 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. A NIGERIAN DOCTOR OSONUGA,SHORTLISTED TO TRAVEL TO SPACE.

2758717_image                                                                             According to sources,a Doctor identified as Freeman Osonuga has been shortlisted as one of the lucky human being to travel to space.He was selected through the Rising Star programme,which was launched at the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin.The Programme invited both One Young World ambassadors and outstanding members of the public aged 18-30 to nominate themselves to take on the trip of a lifetime.If selected for the programme one will not only embark on a once in a lifetime flight to space but will also be offered a three year management contract.He will be the first black African to fly to space.Osonuga is a 2015 WIRED Innovation fellow.He will be speaking live on stage at WIRED 2015 conference in October in London.Sources further said that in late 2014,at the peak of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa,he worked as a volunteer with the Africa Union team of Ebola responders for 6 months in Sierra Leone.Freeman Osonuga,graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University where he studied medicine and surgery.
