 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. A NIGERIAN DOCTOR OSONUGA,SHORTLISTED TO TRAVEL TO SPACE.

2758717_image                                                                             According to sources,a Doctor identified as Freeman Osonuga has been shortlisted as one of the lucky human being to travel to space.He was selected through the Rising Star programme,which was launched at the One Young World Summit 2014 in Dublin.The Programme invited both One Young World ambassadors and outstanding members of the public aged 18-30 to nominate themselves to take on the trip of a lifetime.If selected for the programme one will not only embark on a once in a lifetime flight to space but will also be offered a three year management contract.He will be the first black African to fly to space.Osonuga is a 2015 WIRED Innovation fellow.He will be speaking live on stage at WIRED 2015 conference in October in London.Sources further said that in late 2014,at the peak of the Ebola epidemic in West Africa,he worked as a volunteer with the Africa Union team of Ebola responders for 6 months in Sierra Leone.Freeman Osonuga,graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University where he studied medicine and surgery.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
