The Government categorically refutes claims of lopsidedness and emphasizes its unwavering commitment to the principles of fairness, equity, and national unity. All appointments are made in strict adherence to federal character principle, as enshrined in Section 14 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as Altered). A POLICEMAN LUKAS ABASHI,CRUSHED TO DEATH BY A TANKER YESTERDAY IN APAPA LAGOS.

               A police sergeant attached to the Taskforce for dismantling tanker traffic in Apapa area of Lagos was yesterday tuesday crushed to death by a tanker.The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command,DSP Patricia Amadin,confirmed the incident to NAN,today wednesday.She said the deceased was identified as Lukas Abashi,and the driver of the vehicle with Reg No.ANC 66XA escaped after the accident.She said the policeman died at the spot after tanker ran over him.The driver attempted to escape with the vehicle,but for the intervention of other members of the taskforce who used motorcycles to pursue him.She said the policeman was on official duty as at the time of the accident,adding that the tanker has the inscription TOTAL.The body of the police man had been deposited in the mortuary,while the tanker was taken to a police station in Apapa.She further said that the police were still trailing the driver.
