 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. BOKO HARAM TO ATTACK LAGOS AND OTHER PARTS OF NIGERIA-DSS.

                        Today sunday,intelligence official said there has been a sudden influx of Boko Haram agents into Lagos and other parts of Nigeria outside the militants main area in northeastern Nigeria.Tony Opuiyo,spokesman of the Department of state services,said Boko Haram is tryong to extend their reach after being pushed out of the urban centers of northeastern Nigeria in recent months.He said that security had arrested 14 Boko Haran suspects in Lagos,Abuja and other parts of the country outside the northeast in the past two months.Thpse arrested include cell leaders,some of whom admitted to involvement in recent suicide attacks.Authorities on friday said they arrested a teenager who was spying on Abuja's international airport for Boko Haram.God please protect us.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
