 ANAMBRA POLICE DISMISS REPORTS OF GUNMEN ATTACK, SAY NO SOLDIERS KILLED,THREATEN TO INVOKE CYBER LAWS ON PERPETRATORS  By Uche Kalu  Anambra State Police Command has dismissed a report making the rounds that 21 Soldiers have been killed in Anambra State.  This was contained in a statement by Police Public Relations Officers, SP Tochukwu Ikenga on Wednesday, urging the general public to disregard the report, saying that it is false and misleading. According to the PPRO, Anambra State Police Command is aware of a misleading, unfounded, and false report titled Gunmen Kill 21 Soldiers in Anambra recently peddled by some online media and national dailies. The Command wishes to state that the report is untrue, a product of fiction, and the handiwork of mischief-makers.  Ikenga also stated that the command in dismay at the news, has observed that the said hospital mentioned in the report, where the corpses of the soldiers are allegedly kept, does not exist in Awka, the state capital.  He mai

BURUNDI OPPOSITION PARTY,ORDERS PRESIDENT NKURUNZIZA TO STEP DOWN FROM POWER.

            According to Leonard Nyangoma,a veteran political leader who heads the opposition CNARED coalition,said President Nkurunziza had declared war on his people and demanded the president to step down from office.Nyangoma described the situation in Burundi as extremely serious saying that both the political,socio-economic situations were deteriorating day by day.The election held last month in Burundi were boycotted by the opposition and the international community condemned them as being neither free nor fair.Nyangoma who is skeaking from Europe,where he is now based said ''Security forces are targeting opponents of Nkurunziza with numerous arrests,torture,killings and atrocities''.Nkurunziza's effort to run for a third term in office sparked protest,failed coup and fleeing of Burundi citizens who are currently refugees in neighbouring countries.One more photo below.
