 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. To ease parking challenges, designated car parks have been arranged for public use, these include; the Yoruba Lawn Tennis Club Car Park, Zone 2 Car Park (opposite Island Club along King George V Road), Museum Kit...

CHECKOUT THE MUG SHOT OF A PIGEON,THAT WAS CAUGHT SMUGGLING DRUGS INTO A PRISON IN COSTA RICA.

                                   I just got a report that a pigeon was caught by prison guards,smuggling cocaine and cannabis into a prison in Costa Rica.The bird was seen landing in the central concourse of the medium security La Reforma jail,in San Rafael de Alajuela,where it was taken into custody.The drugs were contained in a small zipped up pouch strapped to the animals chest.The guards spotted the bird on tuesday afternoon as it flew towards an open area of the medium security La Reforma prison.Prison Director Paul Bertozzi said ''They observed the bulge on the animal so they captured it and confirmed that it carried a bag with zipper and drugs were inside...It seems the dove was trained for it''.The pigeon was examined by experts at the Zoo Ave Animal Rescue Centre who said the bag it was carrying caused some damage to its digestive system.A mugshot of the bird,caught by security officers and taken into custody,was released by Costa Rica's Department of Justice and Peace as a warning to be vigilant for Narcopalomas.Narcopalomas is translated to mean ''Drug Doves'',have been used by prisoners and their accomplices in the past.Similar birds have been caught in prisons in Colombia,Argentina and even Bosnia..Checkout the pigeon's mug shot below.More photos below.
