 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. F.B.I,DONATED FORENSIC EQUIPMENT TO THE EFCC.

                  The Federal Bureau of Investigation {FBI}on yesterday tuesday ,donated a forensic work station to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission {EFCC},as a way of enhancing the collaboration between them.The equipment,technically referred to as F.R.E.D {Forensic Recovery of Evidence Device} was presented to the Head of Operation,Lagos Zonal office of the EFCC,lliyasu Kwarbai by the United State acting Consul General,Dehab Ghereab.According to Ghereab,the equipment will enhance the EFCC's effort in the fight against cyber crime and standardize its operations.''As we engage in these practice,we needed our counterparts,so the FBI office made an assessment of the prevailing cases of cyber-based crimes which are not unique to Nigeria''.In the views of Fritz Kennely,a technical personnel with the FBI,the device will help the EFCC in analyzing,processing and preservation of digital evidence which can be presented in court in a clear,concise and understandable manner,thereby aiding judges to adjudicate effectively.Kwarbai while receiving the device thanked the FBI for their support to the Commission in the areas of manpower development and investigation.Ghereab on her part praised the long term partnership between the FBI and EFCC which has existed for more than a decaded.She commended the EFCC for its professionalism and encouraged it to keep up the good work.One more photo below.
