 I’ll never support Peter Obi's presidential ambition - Seyi Law Popular stand-up comedian, Oluwaseyitan Lawrence Aletile, also known as Seyi Law has vowed never to support the presidential ambition of former Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.   In an interview on Tejubabyface show, Seyi Law attributed his reasons to Obi's failure to call the Obidient movement to order, particularly after its supporters allegedly attacked his wife and children due to his support for President Bola Tinubu. Seyi Law expressed deep resentment, stating that the attack on his family crossed a boundary that makes forgiveness impossible.  He emphasised that Peter Obi's refusal to admit and reprimand the Obidients for their actions solidifies his decision.  Seyi Law said: “I don’t feel down at all because when you talk too much, I swear for you. KADUNA STATE GOVERNOR,ORDERS ALL IT'S STATE BANK ACCOUNTS TO BE CLOSED.

                 In a statement signed by Samuel Aruwan,the Special Assistant,Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kaduna state Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said the governor gave the directives at a meeting with officials of all banks hosting the state government's revenue and expenditure accounts.He said the meeting was also attended by the Kaduna state Branch Controller of the CBN.El-Rufai explained that after the establishment of the Treasury Single Account {TSA},the state government will open specified sub-accounts with the CBN and the commercial banks.''The banks  officials present assured the governor that within five working days of receiving the formal instructions from the state government,they will close the accounts and remit the balances to the TSA''.The statement also disclosed that selected revenue holding accounts will be excluded from the directive.The government will publish needed Treasury Circulars and other instructions to ive effect to these decisions.While thaking the banks for their continued support,the governor assured them that a session will be organized to explain to the banks how the new TSA and the sub-accounts will work.According to El-Rufai,the decision to close the accounts was to give way for implementation of the Treasury Single Account,TSA,framework by 1 September,2015.He said the decision was part of the process of attaining this goal and all the banks that maintain the accounts of the government have not only been put on notice to close them,but have also been asked to remit the balances of the Central Bank of Nigeria which will host the state's Treasury Single Account {TSA}.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
