 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. MACHAR ACCUSED SOUTH SUDAN GOVERNMENT,OF TRYING TO BREAK THE CEASE FIRE AGREEMENT.

               Today monday,South Sudan's rebel leader Riek Machar accused government forces of repeatedly breaking a ceasefire and putting at risk the peace deal that was signed.President Salva Kiir who signed the peace pact on wednesday also complained about the rebels attack.The U.N Security Council has warned both sides that it could impose sanctions if the deal collapses.Machar who spoke with Reuters in an interview in Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa said ''There is danger that is looming that could wreck this peace agreement now.We believe that this is an act that is a serious violation to the ceasefire because what it does is provoke our troops that are in control of these areas''.Machar is expected to become first vice president during a three year transitional period envisaged by the peace deal that aims to end the 20 months of conflict.
