 ASUU–ABSU SUSPENDS THREE-WEEK-OLD INDEFINITE STRIKE The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Abia State University Branch, wishes to inform the University community, all stakeholders and the general public that, following the resolution of Congress held today, Friday, 28th August, 2026, the Branch has suspended its three-week-old comprehensive industrial action with immediate effect. The decision of Congress followed a careful assessment of developments since the commencement of the strike and, particularly, the concrete steps taken towards addressing some of the major issues that necessitated the industrial action. Foremost among these is the full implementation of the 2025 FGN–ASUU salary structure, including the Consolidated Academic Tools Allowance (CATA), which has now been reflected in the August 2026 salaries of academic staff of Abia State University. PRESIDENT BUHARI,CONGRATULATES NIGERIAN ATHLETES WHO WON BIG IN SPECIAL OLYMPIC IN LOS ANGELES.

             Today monday,President Muhammadu Buhari extends his congratulations to the Nigeria  team that participated in the just concluded Special Olympics in Los Angeles,United States.President Buhari commends the team for their diligence,dedication and wonderful performance at the games in which they won a total of 71 medals,including 34 gold medals.The President applauds the special althletes inspirig victories in Los Angeles which he believes epitomize the true Nigerian spirit and his personal conviction that whatever challenges we face as a nation,we can overcome them dedication,hard work and perseverance,and rise to the highest possible levels of accomplishment.President Buhari assures the athletes that the Federal Government and all Nigerians and very proud of their exhilarating and dominant performance at the Special Olympics in which they won medals in all featured events.The president looks forward to receiving members of the team at the Presidential Villa to celebrate their brilliant victories in Los Angeles.More photos below.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
