 PRESS RELEASE NAF SUSTAINS HIGH-TEMPO AIR OPERATIONS, DESTROYS TERRORIST HIDEOUTS IN SOUTHERN TUMBUNS The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, sustained operational pressure on terrorist elements with a precision air interdiction mission conducted on 24 April 2026 at about 1850 hours over Ali Sheriffti, a known terrorist enclave in the Southern Tumbuns. Acting on credible intelligence of terrorist activity, NAF air assets conducted a focused surveillance sweep, during which several insurgents were sighted moving along concealed tracks. The targets were trailed to structures hidden under dense foliage, confirming deliberate attempts at concealment. Following positive identification, the NAF executed a precise strike, engaging the structures with onboard munitions. UPDATE ON THE HELICOPTER THAT CRASHED YESTERDAY,IN LAGOS LAGOON.

                    According to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority {NCAA} said the helicopter that is carrying 12 people crashed into a Lagoon in Oworonshoki Lagos yesterday wednesday.The helicopter was operated by offshore energy transportation specialists Bristow Group,flying from an oil rig ,crashed at around 3:30pm shortly before it was due to land.Other sources said they were watching the helicopter swaying in the air and then it started to go down.As soon as it hit the water,they saw flames.A spokesman for the NCAA said the aircraft had been carrying 10 passengers and two crew.''Four bodies have been recovered.Six people survived and two people are still missing''.But other source said the two bodies have been found.Bristow Helicopters {Nigeria} Limited confirmed the crash today thursday by saying that ''The aircraft a Sikorsky S-7 6C+,was returning from a drilling rig offshore''.More photos below.
