 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. UPDATE ON THE HELICOPTER THAT CRASHED YESTERDAY,IN LAGOS LAGOON.

                    According to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority {NCAA} said the helicopter that is carrying 12 people crashed into a Lagoon in Oworonshoki Lagos yesterday wednesday.The helicopter was operated by offshore energy transportation specialists Bristow Group,flying from an oil rig ,crashed at around 3:30pm shortly before it was due to land.Other sources said they were watching the helicopter swaying in the air and then it started to go down.As soon as it hit the water,they saw flames.A spokesman for the NCAA said the aircraft had been carrying 10 passengers and two crew.''Four bodies have been recovered.Six people survived and two people are still missing''.But other source said the two bodies have been found.Bristow Helicopters {Nigeria} Limited confirmed the crash today thursday by saying that ''The aircraft a Sikorsky S-7 6C+,was returning from a drilling rig offshore''.More photos below.
