 FG constitutes committee to study impact of new US tariffs The Federal Government has set up a subcommittee to evaluate the potential economic impact of the recent trade tariff by the United States government. A Friday statement issued by the director of information and public relations at the ministry, Mohammed Manga, said the decision came after a meeting of the Economic Management Team (EMT), chaired by Wale Edun, minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy. While Nigeria’s main export – crude oil – is not directly targeted by the new US tariffs, these policy changes have happened at the same time as falling international oil prices. This timing raises concerns about possible pressure on Nigeria’s revenue and budget. 10 DEAD,100 WOUNDED IN A TWIN BLAST TODAY IN CAMEROON.

                  Today thursday,about 10 people were killed and 100 wounded when a bomb went off near an army camp in northern Cameroon,where soldiers are battling Boko Haram fighters from Nigeria.The second blast was at a town ''Kerawa'', which is far north region that a clash happened in February between Boko Haram militants and government soldiers.A senior army officer based in northern Cameroon said ''For the moment there are around 10 dead and about 100 wounded in the attack near the camp.We're still awaiting a report from our teams on the bombing at the market''.The first bomb exploded in the morning in the market in Kerawa and the other soon after near a camp housing infantry soldiers stationed in the north to fight the Nigerian Islamist group.A local government official said he had been told that the attacks were carried out by female bombers.
