 Rep. John Larson files impeachment articles against Trump over Iran war threats     Rep. John Larson announced Tuesday that he has filed articles of impeachment against President Trump, citing the president’s recent social media post threatening to destroy a “whole civilization” if the Strait of Hormuz was not immediately reopened. Larson said Trump’s actions in the ongoing war in Iran are illegal and endangering American lives and the economy. The filing comes after Trump temporarily paused the strikes for two weeks following Pakistan’s request for an extended deadline to allow diplomatic efforts. Larson criticized Trump’s remarks, including his Easter Sunday post, as increasingly unstable and a threat to U.S. security. Seventy Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. 2 TOWNS WERE SEIZED BY AL-SHABAAB MILITANTS IN SOMALIA.

              According to Reuters,Islamist militants al-Shabaab seized control of two towns over two days in southern Somalia and attacked two African Union {AU} convoys in the same region.Both captured towns were on routes toward Indian Ocean ports south of the capital Mogadishu and came after al-Shabaab fighters attacked an AU base in the same area on September 1.Al-Shabaab ssaid today that they had seized the two towns in the lower Shabelle region,south of Mogadishu en route to Marka,and Kuntuwarey,on the road between the capital and Barawe.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
