 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. 22 HOUSES,WASHED AWAY YESTERDAY IN ABUJA AFTER A VERY HEAVY RAIN FALL.

              Today tuesday,victims of yesterday flood in Abuja spoke with NAN that the rainfall yesterday monday night flooded their houses and washed away valuable property.One of the victims,Blessing Samuel,said that she narrowly survived when the house she was living in with her child collapsed.''My child and i were sleeping at about 4:00am.When we woke up,we saw water everywhere in the room.All i could think of is my child.I rushed and picked my baby and immediately went out of the building and saw the house collapsing''.22 houses were destroyed by the flood.Mr Ibrahim Daniel,the council's Chairman,who visited the flood scene and sympathised with the victims,advised the residents against dumping refuse inside drains.Daniel who promised  to assist the people,said he would report the matter to the appropriate authority for further action.The flood took place at Sheda in Kwali Area council of the FCT.They are also calling on National Emergency Management Agency {NEMA} to assist them.
