 Setting the Records Straight on  Citizen Asar Michael Sesugh's  Death The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  considered it imperative to clear the air on some recent incidents at its Makurdi Zonal Directorate,  Benue State.   Operatives of the Directorate arrested 26 suspected cyber fraudsters on April 28,  2026.  They were profiled and kept in custody for further investigations after obtaining a Remand Order at a Magistrate Court.  Shortly after their arrest,  specifically on May 4,  2026,  three of the suspects sought permission to use the lavatory at the Directorate's  Holding Facility and were permitted.   They cashed in on the opportunity,  broke the toilet's roof and escaped from detention.  Several efforts were made to re- arrest them to no avail. 5 PILGRIMS FROM GOMBE STATE,DECLARED MISSING IN SAUDI ARABIA+FREE SALLAH GIFTS FROM GOMBE GOVERNOR.

                 According to the Executive Secretary,Gombe state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board,Alhaji Usman Gurama told newsmen in Mina,Saudi Arabia today saturday that five pilgrims from Gombe state have been declared missing in Saudi Arabia and the pilgrims could not be located since thursday.He said that members of the medical team had been checking hospitals and mortuaries with a view to locating them or their remains.He however said that for now,it had not been confirmed as to whether they were among those who died as a result of thursday's incident at the stone throwing venue called ''Jamrat'',where over 700 pilgrims died.Gurama confirmed that seven pilgrims from the state were injured at the scene of the incident and were responding to treatment.Meanwhile the Governor of Gombe state Ibrahim Dankwambo,today saturday gave the sate pilgrims 585,300 {N32.7 million } as Sallah gift.Each pilgrims had received 300 Saudi Riyals {N16,800}.
