NAF INTENSIFIES AIRPOWER CAMPAIGN, STRENGTHENS AIR PRESENCE IN SOKOTO TO DENY TERRORISTS FREEDOM OF ACTION The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its airpower campaign against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the North-West, with a strengthened air presence in Sokoto State to support ongoing joint security operations. The initiative reflects the Service’s determination to sustain pressure on hostile elements, enhance aerial surveillance and maintain the capacity for rapid response to emerging threats, while providing effective air support to ground forces operating within the Joint Operations Area. The strengthened air presence is particularly significant in the fight against asymmetric threats, where terrorists and bandits exploit difficult terrain, mobility and concealment to evade ground forces. Today it was reported that,a Danish store gun owner has been arrested in South Africa after 21 pieces of female genitals were found in his home freezer.Anesthetics and surgical equipment were found in 58 year old Peter Frederiksen's home last week along with the body parts.South African police said yesterday monday that the Danish man will face charges of sexual assault,intimidation and domestic violence.Peter Frederiksen who they said is wanted in Denmark for illegal dealing in firearms,lured his victims from neighbouring Lesotho,sedating the women before performing illegal operations on them.Frederik will remain in custody after appearing at a court the central city of Bloemfontein on monday.He is due to appear in court next monday for the hearing of his bail application.
