 FEDERAL MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND NATIONAL ORIENTATION  PRESS STATEMENT  BINANCE FALSE CLAIM ON BRIBERY DIVERSIONARY  The Federal Government of Nigeria is aware of attempts by Binance to launder its impaired image as an organisation that does not play by the rules and laws guiding business conduct in sovereign nations. In a blog post that has now been published by many international media organisations, in an apparent well-coordinated public relations effort, Binance Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng made false allegations of bribery against unidentified Nigerian government officials who he claimed demanded $150m in cryptocurrency payments to resolve the ongoing criminal investigation against the company.  This claim by Binance CEO lacks any iota of substance. It is nothing but a diversionary tactic and an attempted act of blackmail by a company desperate to obfuscate the grievous criminal charges it is facing in Nigeria. A HOUSEMAID ESTER ABIODUN,ARRESTED AFTER SHE POURED HOT WATER ON HER MADAM 4 DAYS AGO IN LAGOS.

                                                          According to sources,a 17 year old house maid Esther Abiodun has been arraigned before a Lagos state magistrates court for allegedly pouring hot water on her employer,Alhaja Dupe Iba Agba,while she was asleep.Abiodun was arrested by the police from the Adeniji Adele division,Lagos Island and arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate court on a two count charge of felony to with,unlawful pouring of hot water on her employer's body occasioning grievious bodily harm.The Police prosecutor,Inspector Philip Osijale,informed the court that the accused committed the offence on 14 September 2015 at her employers residence located at 20/21 Osho street,Lagos Island a day after she secured the job as a house maid.The accused boiled hot water,monitored her boss and poured it on her body while she was asleep and in the process she sustained serious burns all over her body including chest,right and left hands.He said the victim was rushed to intensive care unit in a Lagos State hospital where doctors are battling to save her life.During the investigation she confessed that she poured her boss hot water to teach her a lesson for unjustifiable reasons.The Magistrate ordered that the accused be remanded at the Lagos State correctional centre,Idiaraba,Mushin,Lagos till 21 September 2015 for facts sentence.Like seriously,it when she stays more than 10 years in prison then she will realize she did not spoil her madams life but her own.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
