 EFCC  Moves to  Re-arraign National Assembly Directors for Alleged N337m Fraud   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  on Monday June 8, 2026 sought to re-arraign the trio of Aishatu Bappa El-Nafaty, Mamud Alhaji Abubakar and Igba Ityoakura Joseph before Justice Muhammed Zubairu of the Federal Capital Territory, High Court, Jikwoyi, Abuja for fraud.   The first defendant, El-Nafaty is the Director, Public Affairs Department in the Directorate of Special Duties and Parliamentary Security, National Assembly, Abubakar, the second defendant is a former Permanent Secretary in the Services of the National Assembly, while the third defendant, Joseph is a Deputy Director of Procurement in the National Assembly. THE CHILD THAT WAS FOUND DEAD ON A TURKISH BEACH IN BODRUM,HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED.

                  The dead child was identified as three year old Syrian named Aylan Kurdi.Him and his family except his father Abdullah,died when the boat they are in capsized,on their way to Europe.His father Abdullah tried to save him as they struggle in the sea.His mother Rehan and his 5 year old brother Galip also died.His father was the only survivor from the family of four.Aylan's aunt Fatima Kurdi,who lives in Canada,said ''When the boat flipped upside down and the waves kept pushing down,those two boys were in his arms.He tried with all his power to push them up above the water to breath and they screamed Daddy please don't die.He tried to save the second one,Aylan,he looked at him and there was blood coming out from his eyes.So he closed his eyes and he let him go.He looked around for his wife,she was floating in the water.He said i tried with all my power to save them,i couldn't''.More photos below.                                            Fatima Kurdi and her family gave an emotional press conference outside her home in CanadaAbdullah Kurdi is comforted as he mourns the death of his family as they tried to make it into EuropeAbdullah delivered a speech during the funeral of his family in the Syrian border town of KobaneAylan's aunt Fatima Kurdi, who lives in Canada, said: 'When the boat flipped upside down and the waves kept pushing down, those two boys were in his arms,' she said through sobsPictures of Aylan and his family were laid out outside Fatima Kurdi's home in Canada as she spoke to the mediaThis picture of Aylan's washed up body on a beach in Bodrum sent shockwaves round the world
