 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. THE PRESIDENT OF ALGERIA,SACKED THE HEAD OF THEIR COUNTRY'S INTELLIGENCE TO CURB POLITICAL INFLUENCE.

               According to sources,the president of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika dismissed the head of the country's military intelligence agency Mohamed Mediene yesterday sunday,in a move to curb the chief spy's political influence.The president replaced him immediately with General Athmane Tartag a specialist in war against armed groups and a serving security advisor to the president.Ex-chief spy Mohamed Mediene popularly known as Toufik is a powerful figure in the country having served the intelligence service for more than 20 years.The president has been restructuring the military and the intelligence service which has included sacking several top generals.Election observers have seen this as the president's last measures before the end of his 15 year reign.
