 PRESS RELEASE NAF SUSTAINS HIGH-TEMPO AIR OPERATIONS, DESTROYS TERRORIST HIDEOUTS IN SOUTHERN TUMBUNS The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, sustained operational pressure on terrorist elements with a precision air interdiction mission conducted on 24 April 2026 at about 1850 hours over Ali Sheriffti, a known terrorist enclave in the Southern Tumbuns. Acting on credible intelligence of terrorist activity, NAF air assets conducted a focused surveillance sweep, during which several insurgents were sighted moving along concealed tracks. The targets were trailed to structures hidden under dense foliage, confirming deliberate attempts at concealment. Following positive identification, the NAF executed a precise strike, engaging the structures with onboard munitions. 4 AFRICAN MIGRANTS DROWNED,35 MISSING AFTER A BOAT SANK,NORTH OF MOROCCO YESTERDAY.

                            According to the Spanish sea rescue services,who said four African migrants drowned and up to 35 people were missing after their boat sank in the Mediterranean in the early hours of yesterday thursday around 40 miles north of the Moroccan coast.Lifeguards pulled four bodies from the sea after they were spotted by a Colombian military helicopter helping in the search.Earlier,15 people including two women were rescued from the boat after it lost its bottom and sank.They were found clinging to the wreckage,sea rescued services said.One of those rescued said there had been 54 people in the boat..The Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain was a major route around 10 years ago for migrants from Africa trying to reach Europe,but numbers fell after Spain increased patrols.
