 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. 428 PEOPLE DIED FROM THE MEASLES OUTBREAK IN CONGO.-UNITED NATIONS

                      According to the United Nations who said today friday that the measles outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo's copper mining,has killed 428 people and infected about 30,000 people since the beginning of the year.More than 100 deaths and 10,000 additional cases have been recorded since mid August,when the United Nations committed $2.4 million to fight the outbreak in the former province of Katanga,which was recently divided into four.Humanitarian groups said the money was not enough and poor roads and health services in the region were hindering vaccination drives.Yvon Edoumou,spokesman for the U.N Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs {OCHA},said ''We have contained the disease somewhat in the short term,but it's sad to see that the disease is still progressing''.One more photo below.
