 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. AMBODE EARMARKED OVER N1 BILLION FOR RENOVATION & SUPPLY OF FURNITURES/EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.

                                     On friday the 23rd of October 2015,Governor Akinwumi Ambode said his administration has earmarked over N1 billion for renovation and supply of furnitures and education materials across all secondary schools in the state.The Governor,who reiterated the determination of his administration to invest massively in educational sector,said 1,300 teachers from thousands of persons who applied last month will soon be employed to teach in the primary schools in the state.Governor Ambode,who spoke in Ilara-Epe while inaugurating Augustine University,a private university owned by the Catholic Church,also assured of plans of his administration to resolve the lingering crisis in the Lagos State University {LASU}.He said the need to resolve the crisis in the institution prompted the inauguration of new Governing Councils for the institution ad other tertiary institutions in the state.The Augustine University sits on a massive 135 hectares of land in Ilara-Epe.The foundation of the institution was laid on October 27,2009 and the operational license was granted by the NUC on May 27,2015.The University is starting with 13 programmes to be run by two faculties.One more photo below.
