 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS MINISTER OF STATE FOR PETROLEUM RESOURCES (GAS) AS CO-CHAIRMAN OF NCDMB GOVERNING COUNCIL In line with his avowed commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB). This is also to further ensure effective oversight of the gas aspect of the nation's assets. The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria's immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. AMBODE EARMARKED OVER N1 BILLION FOR RENOVATION & SUPPLY OF FURNITURES/EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS.

                                     On friday the 23rd of October 2015,Governor Akinwumi Ambode said his administration has earmarked over N1 billion for renovation and supply of furnitures and education materials across all secondary schools in the state.The Governor,who reiterated the determination of his administration to invest massively in educational sector,said 1,300 teachers from thousands of persons who applied last month will soon be employed to teach in the primary schools in the state.Governor Ambode,who spoke in Ilara-Epe while inaugurating Augustine University,a private university owned by the Catholic Church,also assured of plans of his administration to resolve the lingering crisis in the Lagos State University {LASU}.He said the need to resolve the crisis in the institution prompted the inauguration of new Governing Councils for the institution ad other tertiary institutions in the state.The Augustine University sits on a massive 135 hectares of land in Ilara-Epe.The foundation of the institution was laid on October 27,2009 and the operational license was granted by the NUC on May 27,2015.The University is starting with 13 programmes to be run by two faculties.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha.  Punish my abusers within 48 hours or face lawsuit - Student bullied by her classmates threaten school authorities The bullied student of British Lead International School, Miss. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
