 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. GOVERNOR AMBODE,TO SWEAR IN 23 COMMISSIONERS & 14 SPECIAL ADVISERS ON MONDAY.

                       Today friday,it was announced that the Lagos State Governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode will on monday,October 19,swear in 23 Commissioners and 14 Special Advisers,who will constitute the State Executive Council.According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary,Mr Habib Aruna,the ceremony will hold at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium,Alausa Secretariat by 10am.According to him ''The House of Assembly has just officially informed His Excellency that they have completed the screening and confirmation of all the 23 Commissioner Designates and 14 Special Adviser Designates which he had sent to the House on September 21.So what is left is for him to conduct the swearing in ceremony so as to enable them resume the task of governance''.Governor Amobode had named six former cabinet members from the Babatunde Raji Fashola administration including former commissioner for Agriculture,Gbolahan Lawal,Former Commissioner for Health,Dr.Jide Idris,former Special Adviser,Central Business District,Folarin Coker,former Special Adviser Commerce and Industry,Seye Oladejo,former Special Adviser Works and Infrastructure,Engr.Ganiyu Johnson and former Special Adviser Rural Development,Babatunde Hunpe.He also named a relatively young cainet with likes of Mrs.Yetunde Onabolu,Fela Bank-Olemoh,Akinyemi Ashade,a partner in KPMG,former Managing Director,National Mirror,Steve Ayorinde,Alhaja Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf,a pharmacist,Kehinde Joseph and Prof.Ademola Abass,a Professor of Law,whose ages range between 39 and 47 years.Other names include Dr.Akintola Benson,former Special Adviser Political and Legislative Powers ureau,Dr.Abdul-Hakeem Abdul-Lateef,Dr.Mohammed Akinkunmi,former member,House of Representatives,Dr.Babatunde Adejare,Dr.Femi Onanuga,CEO of LAMATA,Dr.Dayo Mobereola,Engr.Ade Akinsanya,Arch.Wasiu Anifowoshe,former member House of Assembly,Mrs.Lola Akande,Agboola Dabiri,Ganiu Okaniomo Sanni,Anofi Elegushi,Rotimi Ogunleye,Mrs Adebimpe Akinsola,Femi Labinjo,Toyin Suarau,Babatunde Durosimi-Etti,Deji Tinubu,Mrs.Mudirat Giwanson,Mr.Wale Oluwo and former Chairman Ejigbo LCDA,Kehinde Bamigbetan.One more photo below.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
