NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Two hours ago,the copy of the partial list of Ministerial nominees forwarded by President Muhammadu Buhari to the Senate was posted on line.Senate President Bukola Saraki said the screening of ministerial nominees will begin next week tueday,13 of October,when the Senate would have received the resumes and other documentations of the men and women expected to be part of President Muhammadu Bhari's first cabinet.The Senate President spoke today tuesday after he formally unveiled a 21 man list of ministerial nominees sent to it for screening and confirmation by President Buhari last Wednesday during the plenary of the state.The first person on that list is Abubakar Malami {SAN} in which most people speculated that ex Governor of Lagos state Raji Fashola was number one on the ministerial list.But from the list above,he was listed number five.More photos below.
