 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle. IF YOUR DOG BARK BEYOND 3 MINUTES IN KENYA,YOU WILL PAY A FINE.???????

                        Kenya Nairobi County Assembly has proposed a law that seeks to eliminate noisy canines from the city estates.The Nairobi City County Dog Control and Welfare Bill 2015 states ''A person shall not keep any dog which barks,yelps,howls or whines for more than three accumulated minutes in half an hour''.The bill goes on to state that double offenders will be fined double the penalty.Owners of canines that charge at people,vehicle,animals and poultry outside their compounds will also face similar fines.The proposed last as well goes ahead to authorize the country authority to seize and destroy all stray canines,including those that are unlicensed.Dog permits are renewed yearly at a cost of SH2,000.The Bill adds that ''Any dog not released or claimed from a pound within 11 days of having been received in the pound may either be sold,given away or destroyed under the supervision of a veterinary surgeon or a person authorized by the country''.
