 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. IN HIS SPEECH TODAY,BUHARI EXPLAINED WHY THE SUBMISSION OF THE MINISTERIAL LIST WAS DELAY.

            During the nationwide  broadcast today thursday to mark Nigerian 55th independence anniversary,he said he was aware of anxiety and heat generated in Nigeria and abroad by the delay in appointing his ministers.He said ''Fellow Nigerians,there has been a lot of anxiety and impatience over the apparent delay in the announcement of ministers.There is no cause to be anxious.Our government set out to do things methodically and properly.We received the handing over notes from the outgoing goverment only four days before taking over.Consequently,the Joda Transition Committee submitted its report on the reorganization of federal government structure after studying the handover notes.It would have been haphazard to announce ministers when the government had not finalized the ministries to optimally carry the burden of governance.Order is more vital than speed.Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results.And better results for our country is what the APC government for change is all about''.
