 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.                            In a bid to boost the morale of sportsmen and women in the Nigerian Police Force,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E.Arase,fdc,NPM has magnanimously promoted six policemen/women to their next ranks while the seventh officer was given accelerated promotion from Police Constable to the rank of Police Inspector.Addressing the sports ambassador of the Nigerian Police at the conference hall of the Police Force Headquarters,Abuja on October 14th 2015,the Deputy-Inspctor General of Police DIG Dan Azumi Job Doma,NPW,fwc,psc who stood in for IGP said,the IGP and the entire Nigeria Police Force is proud of the outstanding performances.He also said that they should shun drugs and any performance enhancing drugs,saying the application of such act is very embarrassing.
