 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. ONE DEAD AFTER A PETROL TANKER RAMMED INTO 4 CARS IN OTA OGUN STATE,TODAY.

                                                             Today saturday,it was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Commission {FRSC} in Ota,Ogun state said one person died,while six other people sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident involving a petrol tanker and four vehicles at Owode Junction.The accident occurred around 5:30am and it is due to the carelessness of the tanker driver.The Unit Commander pf FRSC Mr Leye Adegboyega  said the loaded petrol tanker was coming from Lagos and heading to Abeokuta when it lost control and rammed into four vehicles which caught fire immediately.He said that the fire from the tanker spread to the neighbouring houses and property worth millions of naira were lost in the fire.The driver of the tanker,whose name is Wale Olaitan,lost his life while six others including four male and two female sustained various degrees of injuries.''The corpse of the victim have been deposited at the mortuary in Ifo General hospital,Ogun,while other victims were referred to Federal Medical Centre,IdI-Aba,Abeokuta for an intensive treatment''.One more photo below.
