Military judge suppresses Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s FBI confession in 9/11 case A military judge has excluded a confession that alleged Sept. 11 attacks mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave to FBI agents nearly 20 years ago, ruling that the statements were not made voluntarily. The decision is a setback for the U.S. government's long-running effort to prosecute Mohammed, who is accused of helping develop the plot to hijack planes and crash them into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Mohammed remains detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, alongside other defendants awaiting trial. Lt. Col. Michael Schrama, the judge overseeing the case, scheduled a June 2028 trial for Mohammed and three other defendants earlier this week. In an order issued Friday that has not been made public, Schrama barred prosecutors from using statements Mohammed made during four days of FBI questioning at Guantanamo in January 2007. In a statement today tueday,Colonel Sani Usman,spokesperson for the Nigerian Army said,Mohammed Maina one of Boko Haram financier and stimulants dealer in Bama,Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.The Army said the suspect,a native of Ngurosoye came from Shuari village in Bama LGA,he was arrested with the sum of one million Naira cash and some items.Colonel Usman said investigation revealed that Mohammed supplies them kolanuts and other items especially stimulants.Maina was also said to have revealed that kolanuts is in high demand among the terrorists as it keeps them active at night.The military said it is apparent also that Maina plies Maiduguri Dikwa Kulli axis where he gathers monetary and other materials contributions from Boko Haram sympathizers along that axis and send same to the terrorists camps.In the same vein,Colonel Usman also announced that troops of 112 Battalion and Special Forces in Mafa and Dikwa respectively on a joint fighting patrol raided a Boko Haram camp at Bulungwa Naibe in Dikwa Local Goverment Area of Borno state yesterday.
