 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. PRESIDENT HAGE GEINGOB OF NAMIBIA,PLEDGES 20% OF HIS SALARY TO THE POOR.

                       The President of Namibia Hage Geingob,made the pledge on saturday when he addressed the ruling Swapo Party rally in Windhoek where he officially launched the party's campaign for next month's regional and local authorities elections.President Hage Geingob was heard saying to his supporters who gathered at the Katutura Multi-purpose centre that ''I am ready to set aside 20 percent of my salary in order to set up a scolarship fund for impoverished children''.President Hage Geingob earns about 2 million Namibian dollars {about 76,000 U.S dollars} per year and this means he will give away about 400,000 Namibian dollars {30,580 U.S dollars}.From research,it was discovered that the Namibian government has made poverty eradication a special focus,so they created a whole ministry for it ''Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare''.One more photo below.
