 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower. PROF.MAHMOOD YAKUBU,CONFIRMED AS THE NEW INEC CHAIRMAN BY THE SENATE.

                                                  According to sources,the Senate has confirmed the appointment of Professor Mahmood Yakubu as INEC {Independent National Electoral Commission} chairman and successor of Professor Attahiru Jega after he was screened in the upper chambers.Yakubu who answered all questions posed at him,stated that he would not be intimidated in the discharge of his activities as INEC Chairman.He was aked if he can withstabd any pressure,intimidation to announce the winner of the election even if it does not favour the Federal Government who appointed him,he replied that ''He would serve Nigeria and will do so without fear''.Other people that were confirmed and who are members of INEC are Adedeji Solomon Shoyobi {Commissioner},Dr Muhammed Mustapha Lekki {Commissioner},Hajia Amina Zakari {Commissioner},Dr Anthonia Taiye Okosi {Commissioner} and Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo {Commissioner}.One more photo below.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
