 Renowned 20th-century philosopher Jürgen Habermas dies at 96 Jürgen Habermas, the German philosopher widely recognized for his contributions to modern political thought and democratic theory, died Saturday in Starnberg, Germany, at the age of 96. His passing was confirmed in a statement by his Berlin-based publisher, Suhrkamp Verlag, which noted that Habermas’s work, translated into more than 40 languages, had left a lasting impact on global intellectual discourse. Jonathan Landgrebe, head of the publishing house, described him as “a significant philosopher, ever-present advisor, and dear friend.” For more than six decades, Habermas helped shape postwar and post-reunification German political life. He is best known for conceptualizing the “public sphere,” a domain for discussion free from state influence, which he argued is essential for a functioning democracy. THE NEPHEW OF THE PRESIDENT OF SOMALIA,WAS KILLED TODAY BY AL-SHABAAB MILITANTS.

                    Today wednesday the President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud,his nephew was killed today.The presidents nephew is identified as Liban Osman and a lawyer named Abdikadir Mohamed were attacked in their car by al-Shabaab militants.Liban Osman had just returned from abroad and was about to start working as the director of a Mogadishu hospital.Al Shabaab's military operation spokesman,Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,said the group targeted Osman because he was a very important official at the presidential palace.
