 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION,SAID PROCESSED MEAT CAUSES CANCER.

                               According to the World Health Organization {WHO} who said that processed meat such as bacon,ham and sausages can cause cancer.The processed meat refers to meat that has been modified to increase its shelf life or alter its taste such as by smoking,curing or adding salt or preservatives.WHO says that consumption  of 50 grams of processed meat a day,less than two slices of bacon,increases the chances of developing colorectal cancer by 18%.However,the organization also acknowledged that meat does have health benefits.Red meat is a major source of iron,zinc and vitamin B12.The processes such as salting,smoking,curing and preservation are the factors that inrease the risk of cancer.If you ask me,people especially those in Africa,should retrace their food steps.Meaning,before the coming of processed meat,we do cook before we fry,though we might lose the nutrients during these cooking process,but i don't think any disease will survive the process of cooking the meat before frying.More photos below.
