SANWO-OLU IN LONDON SEEKS FOREIGN INVESTMENTS, PARTNERSHIPS   •Governor charges Commonwealth states to bring capital, technology, expertise to Lagos The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday charged the Commonwealth’s 56 member states to invest in Africa, particularly Lagos, by bringing their capital, technology and other expertise, promising that they will find not just market and opportunity but partner and relationship.   He said the Commonwealth's greatest advantage is not simply its shared language, shared laws or shared history but its people, noting that nowhere is that advantage more vivid, dynamic or consequential than in Africa.   Speaking as a Keynote Speaker at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit held at Mansion House, London, on Monday, Governor Sanwo-Olu said Lagos is ready for partnerships and relationships with global investors.   The theme of the opening session is “The Commonwealth's Advantage". ...

6 SUSPECTED DRUG TRAFFICKERS,WERE ARRESTED AT THE LAGOS AIRPORT BY THE NDLEA.

                      Today friday it was reported that a 25 year old single lady,a Brazil based freelance journalist and a patent medicine dealer are among six suspected drug traffickers currently being interrogated by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency {NDLEA} for drug trafficking.The six suspects were apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport,Lagos with substances that tested positive for narcotics.The NDLEA Commander at the Lagos Airport,Ahmadu Garba,gave the names of the suspects as 25 years old Gabriel Chidinma Juliet,caught with 2.900 kg of cocaine in duty free bag,48 years old Anagbogu Churchill Okwudili,who ingested 47 wraps of cocaine weighing 940 grammes and 36 years old Enenchi Jerome Oguejiefor who concealed 5.500 kg of cannabis inside fufu.Others are 32 years old Ani Kennedy Tochukwu,who packed 21 wraps of cocaine weighing 350 grammes inside jeans trousers,28 years old Eletamuzor Celestine Kenechukwu who was caught with 9 kilogramme of ephedrine inside hair attachment and 35 years old  Okpala Vitus Arinzechukwu who was caught with 2.720kg of cocaine.Apart from Eletamuzor Celestine Kenechukwu and Enechi Jerome Oguejiefor that attempted to export ephedrine and cannabis to South Africa and United Arab Emirates respectively,others were apprehended for smuggling  drugs into the country.The suspects attributed their involvement in drug business to the financial rewards offered them and the agency has commenced investigation into the cases.One more photo below.
