Beloved actor Ras Ajai, 47, 'shot dead' while walking down a street A beloved film star and musician has di£d. Ras Ajai, whose real name was Brian Todd Boucher, played JLP political enforcer Claudie Massop in the 2024 film Bob Marley: One Love biopic. He was reportedly shot in Waterford, St. Catherine, Jamaica, at the age of 47. He rubbed shoulders with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they arrived at the movie's Jamaican premiere. Another person is reported to have sustained injuries during the assault, which remains under investigation by St Catherine South Police. Sources say the reggae and dancehall artist, vocalist and composer was walking down a street with a companion on Saturday, August 1, when they were attacked by armed criminals travelling in a vehicle. The 10 year old boy who lived with his parents and three siblings in Paynesville,a suburb east of the capital Monovia.All six family members as well as other high risk contacts,were in care at an Ebola Treatmeant Unit in Paynesville.Their Minister of Health Bernice Dahn said ''The hospital is currently decontaminating the unit.All of the health care workers who came in contact with the patient have been notified.We know how Ebola spreads and we know to stop Ebola but we must remain vigilant and work together''.Another source Bruce Aylward,who leads the Ebola response for the World Health Organisation,said the patient had no history of contact with an Ebola survivor or victim.''The family obviously is at particular risk and are being investigated right now because two of the siblings have been unwell over the last two days so they are also being investigated''.One more photo below.
