Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. The 10 year old boy who lived with his parents and three siblings in Paynesville,a suburb east of the capital Monovia.All six family members as well as other high risk contacts,were in care at an Ebola Treatmeant Unit in Paynesville.Their Minister of Health Bernice Dahn said ''The hospital is currently decontaminating the unit.All of the health care workers who came in contact with the patient have been notified.We know how Ebola spreads and we know to stop Ebola but we must remain vigilant and work together''.Another source Bruce Aylward,who leads the Ebola response for the World Health Organisation,said the patient had no history of contact with an Ebola survivor or victim.''The family obviously is at particular risk and are being investigated right now because two of the siblings have been unwell over the last two days so they are also being investigated''.One more photo below.
