 A priest in Anambra State wedded a couple yesterday, despite disputes with the bride’s father In a video circulating online, the Reverend Father narrated that The father of the bride who is from Nteje had insisted that the wedding should not take place unless his daughter swøre never to associate with his mother whom he has a quarrel with. The conflict arose from past marriage issues between the father and her mother. Before the wedding, the father repeatedly met with the priest, warning that he had already taken the bride's mother to a deity and that the girl must follow him to the shrine to appease that deity before the marriage can go on. For peace to prevail, the priest advised the couple to comply with all the father’s requests so the wedding could proceed, the priest even donated some of the items that the brides father told her to bring to use in appeasing the deity. A WOMAN SOLD HER THREE YEAR OLD GRANDSON TO A RITUALIST FOR N100,000 IN ABIA STATE.

               According to the Nigerian Police Command in Abia state,who confirmed yesterday tuesday that a woman allegedly sold her three year old grandson to a ritualist.The Command's apokesman,DSP Udeviotu Onyeke told pressmen that the woman was in the custody of the police in Umuobiakwa,as investigation continues.He said that part of the investigation being carried out was to determine the sanity of the woman.The woman,who hailed from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government of the state,had left the village with the child and returned a week later to report that he was missing. Sources in the village said  that when the suspect was questioned about the missing boy,her response trigered suspicion,thereby prompting the villagers to invite the police.The suspect allegedly told the police that she sold the boy for N100,000 to a native doctor in Akwa Ibom and wanted to use the money to buy a motorcycle before the end of the year.The police spokesman however said that the woman had since changed her statement claiming that the boy was with her sister in Aba.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive. We have approached Turkey for assistance.” The President, however, stated that the delays were affecting the public’s perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing the security challenges.
